Arrest made in Orneville assault; suspect held on $10,000 bail

ORNEVILLE, Maine — The Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with an October 28 assault that left one man severely injured and two women assaulted.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Three Rivers Ambulance Service were dispatched at approximately 10:10 p.m. on October 28 to a reported assault in Orneville. Responding units found a male with severe injuries and two female victims who had also been assaulted. Due to the severity of the incident, the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was called to assist with the investigation.

Working with the District Attorney’s Office, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Lindel “Anthony” Wilson, 25, of Orneville. Deputies arrested Wilson on December 2, 2025. He is charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault (Class A) and Aggravated Assault (Class D). Wilson is being held at the Piscataquis County Jail on $10,000 bail and is expected to make his first court appearance soon. Authorities noted that Wilson has a criminal history out of South Carolina.

Officials stated that all parties involved were known to one another.
