New Hampshire authorities announced arrests in the May 19, 2025 homicide of Gui Lin in Derry, detailing charges against three suspects and coordinated actions that led to one arrest in Madrid and two in Queens, with extradition to New Hampshire expected.
Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Derry Police Chief George R. Feole said arrest warrants were obtained charging Jeffrey Li, 18, and Marco Junior Marquez Vera, 20, with second-degree murder, alleging that, while acting in concert and aided by another, they recklessly caused the death of Gui Lin by causing him to be stabbed with a knife at 4 Peabody Annex Road.
In addition, Li, Marquez Vera, and Ayaan Nisaar, 18, were charged with robbery; attempted burglary; and conspiracy to commit burglary, alleging concerted actions to use physical force during a theft and to take substantial steps toward a burglary at the Peabody Annex Road location.
Marquez Vera was taken into custody in Madrid, Spain. Li and Nisaar were arrested in Queens, New York. Assistance came from the NYPD, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Postal Inspection Service. All three are expected to be extradited to New Hampshire and subsequently arraigned at the Tenth Circuit Court, Derry District Division, at times to be determined by the Court.
