Driver Found Deceased After I-93 Crash, Vehicle Fire in Ashland

ASHLAND, N.H. — A driver was found deceased following a crash and vehicle fire on Interstate 93.


At 2:44 a.m. on Sunday, State Police dispatch received a report of a vehicle on fire along the wood line approximately one mile south of Exit 24 on I-93. Troopers from Troop F responded and found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.


A preliminary investigation determined the driver of a 2023 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound on I-93 when, for reasons under investigation, the vehicle left the right side of the road, crashed, and caught fire.


The driver was found deceased at the scene. There were no other occupants. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin.


Troopers were assisted by the Ashland Fire Department and Plymouth Fire & Rescue. All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.
