Lebanon Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of stealing a cashbox containing approximately $1,000 from a Girl

Scouts cookie sales table outside the West Lebanon Walmart on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that on February 25, 2026, at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers responded to Walmart on Plainfield Road in West Lebanon for a report of a theft near the store’s entrance. According to police, a male suspect grabbed a metal cashbox from a Girl Scouts cookie sales table and fled on foot toward the wooded area behind the plaza.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing a white sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black hat, and a black mask.

Officers, assisted by a Lebanon Police K-9 team, tracked the suspect to the rear parking lot of the New Hampshire State Liquor Store. Police said surveillance footage showed the individual running across the lot before entering the driver’s seat of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with unknown registration plates.

Police later recovered the cashbox in the woods. The money was not inside, according to the department.

Lebanon Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Lebanon Police Department at 603-448-1212. Tips can also be submitted through the department’s tip line at 603-448-CLUE (2583) or online through LebanonNH.gov/CLUE.
