A 43-year-old Massachusetts woman was injured Friday afternoon in a snowmobile crash in Clarksville, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.
Officials said rescue personnel and a New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Conservation Officer responded on Friday, January 16, 2026, to the area of Corridor Trail 20 and Primary Trail 131 after a report of a female with a leg injury. Dispatch centers received a 911 call at approximately 4:48 p.m.
Northern Border Dispatch notified 45th Parallel EMS and Pittsburg Fire and Rescue, while New Hampshire State Police Troop F Dispatch notified a Conservation Officer.
The operator was identified as Emily Walden, 43, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Investigators said Walden and a riding partner attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection of Primary Trail 131 and Corridor Trail 20 when Walden inadvertently hit the accelerator, sending the snowmobile down a short, steep embankment adjacent to the trail. Walden was thrown from the snowmobile and suffered a leg injury.
Walden was evaluated at the scene and placed into a rescue sled before being transported out by Pittsburg Rescue Squad. Once back at staging, she was further evaluated by 45th Parallel EMS and transported by ambulance to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital for treatment.
