Pickup Fire Extends to Home; North Hampton Crews Hold Damage to Garage and Attic Corner

NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. — North Hampton Fire & Rescue reports that C-Shift was dispatched at 4:56 p.m. to Juniper Road for a vehicle fire reported to be extending to a structure. Automatic mutual aid was started immediately.
On arrival, firefighters found a pickup truck in the driveway fully involved. Heavy fire had extended into the garage and up to the second floor of the residence. According to the department, all occupants safely evacuated prior to the fire department’s arrival.
Crews deployed two hose lines and went to work to bring the incident under control. The department states the fire was contained to the garage, the exterior of the home, and the A/B corner of the attic. Companies then focused on checking for additional extension and securing the scene.
Mutual aid assistance at the scene was provided by Hampton Fire/Rescue, the City of Portsmouth New Hampshire Fire Department, and Rye Fire & Rescue. Station coverage was provided by Hampton Falls Fire Department and Epping Fire. North Hampton Police Department assisted with traffic control.
No additional details regarding cause were released. The department’s update did not report injuries and did not provide displacement information. Further updates will be provided by officials if released.
