Single-Vehicle Crash Leads to DUI Arrest in Pelham

PELHAM, N.H. — Pelham Police arrested a Lowell, Massachusetts man late Saturday after a single-vehicle crash that severed a utility pole on Simpson Mill Road.


At approximately 11:25 p.m. on November 22, officers were dispatched to the area of 71 Simpson Mill Road for a reported motor vehicle accident. Responding units located a 2006 Toyota Corolla with heavy front-end damage that had struck and broken a telephone pole. The driver was identified as Ismael Antonio Andujar Garcia, 29, of Lowell, MA.


According to police, the investigation determined Mr. Garcia had been traveling southbound on Simpson Mill Road when he failed to maintain his lane and collided with the pole. The roadway was closed for an extended period while crews completed repairs. Pelham Fire Department transported Mr. Garcia to a local hospital for minor injuries.


Officer Sanchez conducted the crash investigation and determined Mr. Garcia was impaired. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Criminal Mischief, Yellow Line, and Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Garcia is scheduled to be arraigned at Salem District Court on December 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.


All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
