A Somersworth investigation into reports of gunshots on Old Rochester Road led to the arrest of a 27-year-old resident on two felony counts of reckless conduct with a firearm.

According to the release, officers responded on two occasions—one in August and another in September—to 191 Old Rochester Road for reports of multiple gunshots in the area. Each response occurred in the early evening and involved the same highly intoxicated and uncooperative suspect at the residence.

Investigators used surveillance footage and later executed a search warrant at 191 Old Rochester Road, seizing a handgun and a spent shell casing. The investigation determined rounds were discharged from the rear of the property in the general direction of other residences.

An arrest warrant was obtained, and on September 24, 2025, Cody T. Stevens, 27, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony reckless conduct with a firearm. He was held on preventive detention and later arraigned in Dover District Court, where he was released on bail pending a court date.
