Update: Rochester Mobile Home Fire—Company to Match Donations for Impacted Family

Following the September 23 fire at 23 Royal Crest Mobile Home Park, D.F. Richard Energy says its employee “Matt W.” came upon the scene, kicked in a door, and rescued the family’s dog. The company has pledged to match the first $2,500 raised to help the family.

Rochester Fire Department reported crews were dispatched at 8:29 a.m. and arrived at 8:34 a.m. to a single-wide mobile home with heavy fire on the B and D sides. Hose lines were deployed, a water supply was established, and an interior search was conducted. The fire was placed under control at 9:00 a.m. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. Mutual aid responded from Somersworth, Dover, and Farmington, with station coverage by Milton, Barrington, and Berwick. Utilities were secured by Eversource, the Department of Public Works, and Townsend Energy. The cause remains under investigation by the Fire Prevention Division.
