CLIFTON, Maine — At 7:39 a.m. this morning, Eddington Fire and Holden Fire were alerted to a reported vehicle fire on Scott Point Road in Clifton. Crews arrived to find a fully involved vehicle fire with flames spreading toward the residence and propane tanks approximately five feet away.

Firefighters initiated an immediate exterior attack and knocked the fire down quickly, stopping further extension. The residence sustained exterior damage only. The vehicle is a total loss. No injuries were reported.
Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional details were available at the time of publication.
