70-Year-Old Critically Injured in Stacyville ATV Crash; LifeFlight to Bangor

STACYVILLE, Maine — At approximately 6:12 a.m., Troopers responded to the area of 389 Kelly Road for an ATV crash on a public way.

The sole occupant, Joyce Cummings, 70, of Stacyville, was thrown from the ATV. She was not wearing a helmet.

A preliminary investigation indicates the ATV was traveling on the road when items began to fall from the back, the ATV turned, and crashed.

Cummings sustained severe injuries and was transported by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
