On the morning of June 26, 2025, at approximately 11:50 am the Rochester Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 6 Ridgewood Drive. The 911 caller reported a detached garage fully involved in flames, located approximately 10 feet from a nearby residence.

Engine 5, returning from a previous call, was the first unit to arrive on scene and found the garage heavily involved with fire and threatening a nearby single-wide mobile home. A box alarm was immediately requested, bringing mutual aid support from surrounding communities.

Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and knocked down the bulk of the fire while additional crews arrived to assist with fire attack and protect nearby structures. The fire was contained to the garage, with no extension to the adjacent mobile home. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The Rochester Fire Department was supported by mutual aid companies from Dover, Somersworth, Barrington, Milton, Farmington, and Berwick. Some responding mutual aid units were cancelled en route as the fire was brought under control. Coverage for Rochester stations was maintained by mutual aid departments until local resources became available.

Following an investigation by the Rochester Fire Department, the fire was determined to be accidental in nature.
