BREAKING: Rooftop Fire at Former Care Pharmacy in Rochester; Fireworks Suspected

ROCHESTER, N.H. — At about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Rochester Fire Department was dispatched to 161 South Main St. for a report of a fire on the roof of the former Care Pharmacy building.
According to radio traffic, initial information indicated the fire may have been caused by fireworks. Companies arrived and found a small fire on the roof that had extinguished. A truck company was used to access and evaluate the roof.
While firefighters assessed the building, police investigated the front entrance of the former pharmacy. A short time later, Command placed Engine 2 and Engine 4 in service on scene.
This report is based on preliminary dispatch and radio communications. Additional information will be provided if an official press release is issued.
