Car Strikes Tree in Wilton; One Person Transported

Wilton Fire responded early Saturday to a motor-vehicle crash involving a car and a tree, with one patient reporting back and hip pain.

According to the release, the call came in with police and EMS en route. Chief Sonny Dunham confirmed one patient while responding. Squad One arrived second with Captain Cody Henry and FF/AEMT Ellie Adams, followed by Engine One with Senior Captain George Guptil. Captain Henry assisted EMS with extrication to a stair chair and stabilized the vehicle. Guptil and Adams provided traffic control. One patient was transported to the hospital. Agencies assisting included Wilton Police Department (Maine) and MaineHealth EMS.
