Disturbance at Portland Hotel Leads to Criminal Summons

Portland Police responded to the Residence Inn, 145 Fore Street, at 10:07 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, following a report of a disturbance.
Police said a crowd estimated at over 50 people had gathered and was blowing whistles, banging on drums, and causing disturbances inside the lobby. Officials stated the noise was disrupting hotel guests and others in the area.
According to police, the group was told multiple times that if they did not disperse, individuals would be charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Police issued a criminal summons (in lieu of arrest) to Peach Cushing, a 28-year-old male from Brunswick, for Disorderly Conduct.
