BOW, N.H. — A Concord man was arrested after he was clocked at 130 mph during a traffic enforcement initiative on Interstate 93 southbound in Bow.
On Sunday, State Troopers from the Special Enforcement Unit and the Troop D barracks conducted a three-hour initiative utilizing the State Police aircraft. Troopers observed 40 violations and stopped 35 drivers. Of those violations, 25 drivers were observed traveling 90 mph or faster, and two motorists were found to be driving with suspended licenses.
At 9:37 a.m., Sgt. Jay LaPointe, operating in the State Police aircraft, observed a white vehicle traveling southbound at an extremely high rate of speed. Sgt. LaPointe measured the vehicle multiple times, with a high speed of 130 mph, and relayed its location to ground units.
Trooper Kosakowski conducted a stop and arrested the driver, identified as Logan Drew, 22, of Concord, on charges of reckless operation and operating after suspension. Drew is scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Currently, the minimum penalty for reckless driving at 100 mph or faster is a $620 fine and a 60-day loss of license. Effective January 1, 2026, the minimum penalties increase to a $930 fine and a 90-day loss of license for a first offense.
As the holiday season begins, Troopers remind drivers to slow down, put away distractions, and focus on the road. State Police will continue working with the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety on focused enforcement to reduce speeds, detect impaired driving, prevent serious crashes, and promote roadway safety for residents and visitors.
