According to the releases, 911 calls came in at approximately 3:42–3:43 p.m. The Plaistow Emergency Communications Center dispatched a Box Alarm, sending on-duty units and recalling off-duty personnel. Responders found four vehicles involved across a widespread scene, including one on its side with the driver pinned. The adult female’s extrication required additional resources and took about 40 minutes.

A landing zone approximately a mile away was coordinated for air medical. Station coverage was provided by the Town of Danville Fire Department. Additional assistance or support was noted from Haverhill, Newton, and Atkinson fire departments, and Lawrence General Hospital for ambulances.
