New Hampshire State Police say a driver was taken into custody Thursday night after an attempted traffic stop on I-93 in Londonderry led to a crash on a nearby road.
According to the release, at 10:17 p.m., Trooper Matthew Howe attempted to stop a 2003 BMW 3 Series after observing it traveling 118 mph on Interstate 93. The driver exited at Exit 5, increased speed, and passed other vehicles. Due to the potential risk to the public, Trooper Howe did not pursue.
Shortly after, Troopers located the BMW on Old Derry Road and determined the driver had lost control, left the roadway, and struck a rock wall, causing significant damage. The driver, identified as Devin Quinn, 29, of Hudson, was uninjured and taken into custody.
Quinn is charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon; two counts of aggravated DUI; DUI subsequent (third) offense; operating after suspension; criminal mischief; and reckless driving. He was released on cash bail as set by a bail commissioner and is scheduled to appear in Derry District Court. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Howe at Matthew.S.Howe@DOS.NH.GOV.
