State Representative Kelley Potenza ended her campaign for Mayor of Rochester and endorsed Matt Mayberry, citing shared priorities of accountability, transparency, and taxpayer-focused leadership.

Potenza said she entered the race to bring “new energy” and a “renewed commitment to the taxpayers,” adding that Mayberry “embodies these values and is the right person to lead Rochester forward.” Mayberry thanked Potenza for her support, calling her “a true champion of the people” and praising her focus on transparency and direct counsel.
According to the release, Potenza highlighted issues where she believes Mayberry will deliver, including listening to residents who feel ignored, supporting housing affordability for young people, and helping longtime residents facing rising property-tax assessments and valuations. She stated that development costs for water, sewer, roads, and energy should be borne by developers and noted Mayberry’s advocacy for conservation, private property rights, and preserving green and agricultural spaces.
Potenza also said the city should collaborate with the Rochester Agricultural and Mechanical Association (RAMA) at the Rochester Fairgrounds to support a revitalized, year-round community event space. She emphasized that government should avoid obstruction and allow the private market to function, with sound infrastructure requirements in place. Potenza cited Mayberry’s long ties to Strafford County and his recent move to make Rochester his permanent home.

She concluded by thanking supporters and encouraging them to back Mayberry’s campaign. For more information, volunteering, lawn signs, or donations, the release directs readers to MayberryForMayor.com. Contact: Matt Mayberry, 603-969-7077, mattmayberrynh@gmail.com.
