SUTTON, N.H. – A Newbury woman was arrested after a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

At 6:48 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, State Troopers assigned to the Troop D barracks responded to a reported hit-and-run crash on Route 103 in Sutton.

Upon arrival, they discovered that an adult female walking along Route 103 had been struck by a vehicle traveling westbound, which then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicated the suspect vehicle was an older-model Toyota sedan. This information was shared with surrounding agencies. With the timely assistance of the Bradford and Newbury police departments, a matching car was located at a home in Newbury. The vehicle, a 1994 Toyota Camry, had damage consistent with evidence at the crash scene.

Troopers then made contact with Heaven Martin, 24, of Newbury, at the home. Martin was determined to have been the driver of the Toyota at the time of the crash and charged with aggravated DUI and felony conduct after an accident.

This crash remains under active investigation. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Kevin Belanger at (603) 223-4381 or Kevin.J.Belanger@dos.nh.gov.
