New Hampshire State Police said Trooper Alex Guilbeault, assigned to the Troop B barracks, observed a white 2025 BMW X2 traveling northbound on Interstate 93 in Windham at a high rate of speed. When the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver increased speed, and a pursuit began.
Emergency Response and Timeline
State Police reported that during the pursuit, the driver exited I-93 northbound at Exit 4 in Londonderry before reentering the highway southbound. While traveling southbound, the vehicle took off-ramps at Exit 3 and Exit 2, crossed intersections, and continued back onto I-93 via on-ramps.
The pursuit ended when the BMW ran out of gas near mile marker 1.8 on Interstate 93 southbound in Salem.
Arrest and Charges
Troopers took the driver and two other occupants into custody at the scene. The driver was identified as Rafy Villa, 25, of Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Villa was charged with:
Felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon
Misdemeanor disobeying an officer
Multiple violation-level offenses, including driving after suspension
He was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned in Salem District Court on February 19, 2026. The BMW was seized pending further investigation. The two additional occupants were released without charges.
