Rochester Fire Department brought a first-alarm mobile home fire under control in about 30 minutes Tuesday morning at 23 Royal Crest Mobile Home Park; no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
Dispatch was at 8:29 a.m., and first-arriving units at 8:34 a.m. found a single-wide home heavily involved on the B and D sides. Crews deployed hose lines, established a water supply, knocked down the fire, and conducted an interior search. The incident was declared under control at 9:00 a.m. Resources included Chief 2, Car 4, Engine 2, Engine 4, and Tanker 7 under Incident Commander Captain Pageau. Mutual aid responded from Somersworth, Dover, and Farmington, with station coverage by Milton, Barrington, and Berwick. Utilities were secured by Eversource, the Department of Public Works, and Townsend Energy. The cause remains under investigation by the Rochester Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Division.
Regarding a pet at the residence: the fire department release states the reporting party had safely removed a dog before crews arrived. In a separate statement, D.F. Richard Energy reported that an employee, “Matt W.,” encountered the fire while on his route and rescued the family’s dog.
