ROCKLAND, Maine — A 23 years-old Arkansas man was arrested by Rockland Police on December 7, 2025, after officers said he continued to violate Maine sex offender registration laws and his court-ordered release conditions.

According to Rockland Police, officers conducted a traffic stop on December 7 and contacted Jonathon Daugherty, 23 years-old, of Arkansas. During the stop, officers learned that Daugherty was continuing to fail to comply with Maine Sex Offender Registration laws and his court-ordered “check-in” conditions of release.

Daugherty was arrested by Rockland Police on charges of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Police noted that Daugherty has a non-extraditable warrant out of Arkansas for failure to appear and register as a sex offender. At the time of the December 7 arrest, Daugherty was out on bail following a prior arrest by Rockland Police in early November.

In that earlier incident, Daugherty was charged with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration, Failure to Provide Correct Name and Date of Birth and Refusal to Submit to Arrest or Detention.
