GREENLAND, N.H. — At the request of the Greenland Police Department, New Hampshire State Police have activated the Missing Vulnerable Adult/Silver Alert System for Thomas Maher, 69. Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.

Height: 5’10”
Weight: 155 lbs.
Hair: Red/gray
Eyes: Hazel
Clothing last seen: Red fleece pajama pants
Additional detail: Wears glasses
Last known location and time:
Maher was last seen around 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the area of Winnicut Road in Greenland. Local updates also place the last sighting near the Winnicut Drive and Bayside Road intersection. He left on foot in an unknown direction of travel.
Health and safety information:
Police report that Maher has late-stage dementia and may be combative because of his condition.

Greenland Police report Maher is still missing. The search includes local and regional resources, including the Portsmouth Police Department drone team, and ground efforts “scouring everywhere.”
