Suspicious Death Investigation Underway in Manchester

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and the Manchester Police Department are investigating the suspicious death of an adult male in Manchester, according to a news release issued Wednesday by Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Peter A. Marr.
Police responded at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, to the area of Barry Avenue and Spruce Street in Manchester after receiving a 911 call reporting, in substance, an injured male. When officers arrived, they located an adult male lying on the ground, unconscious, with an apparent stab wound to his chest.
The injured male was transported to Elliot Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officials said the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation. Additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available, pending the results of an autopsy to be conducted later today by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
