Bow Police Arrest Bedford Man Following Sexual Assault Investigation

The Bow Police Department announced that an arrest was made Thursday morning following an investigation into the sexual assault of a minor.


Police said James Bautista, 21, of Bedford, was taken into custody without incident. Bautista is charged with three counts of Felonious Sexual Assault under NH RSA 632-A:3. Authorities stated the charges are non-bailable offenses pursuant to RSA 597:2.


Bautista was booked, processed, and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections. Police said he is expected to be video arraigned in the 6th Circuit District Division Concord Court on Friday, January 23, 2026.


The investigation remains active. Police noted that an arrest does not constitute a conviction and that all individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
