BOW, N.H. — The Bow Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the individual or individuals responsible for a reckless firearm discharge and property destruction that occurred early this morning on Risingwood Drive.

According to police, the incident took place on December 9, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Several Christmas inflatable displays in the residential neighborhood were shot with a firearm. The preliminary investigation indicates the shots were fired from the roadway, and police believe the suspect or suspects may have been sitting in a vehicle or standing in the road at the time of the shooting.
Police stated the act not only caused damage to private property but also posed a serious danger to residents in the area.
The individual or individuals responsible may face charges including Criminal Mischief and reckless conduct involving a firearm. Police noted that RSA 644:13 addresses reckless conduct, which can be charged when a person “recklessly engages in conduct” that places or may place another person in danger of serious bodily injury.
Chief Miller stated, “We are fortunate that no one was injured last night. Discharging a firearm in a residential area, potentially from a vehicle, demonstrates a shocking disregard for the safety of our community. We are asking anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of Risingwood Drive around 1:00 AM this morning to please contact us immediately.”
The Bow Police Department is asking residents on Risingwood Drive and nearby streets to review any home surveillance or security camera footage from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. for images or video of suspicious individuals or vehicles.
Anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, is asked to contact Lieutenant Matt Pratte at 603-223-3950 or submit an anonymous tip through the department’s local Crime Tip Line website. The link provided in the release has been removed per newsroom formatting rules.
