Commercial Fire at Biddeford Boat Storage Facility Under Investigation

Investigators are examining a Monday morning fire at a commercial boat storage facility in Biddeford that damaged multiple boats and part of the building, with officials confirming the cause is not considered suspicious as the inquiry continues.

The Fire Marshal’s Office responded to 540 Elm Street at approximately 7:46 a.m. after a fire began in one stored boat at the Kennebunkport Marina storage property. The initial fire spread, damaging several additional boats and causing structural damage to the facility.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is being assisted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Biddeford Fire Department. The investigation remains active.
