Community Steps Up to Support Victims of Springvale Fire

Following yesterday’s house fire in Springvale, Maine, which displaced several residents and drew response from multiple area departments, Scanner Alerts Media Group has been contacted by someone close to the affected family seeking community assistance.
According to the contact, the family lost much of their personal belongings and is in immediate need of basic supplies and clothing. The Red Cross has provided three nights of accommodations for the family at the Quality Inn in Sanford, and local residents are now being asked to help with essential items.
Requested Items Include:
Gift Cards: Domino’s, Dunkin’, KFC, Burger King, and gas cards
For the two handicapped ladies:
Depends (sizes Small and Medium)
Walker
Sweatpants and shirts (sizes Medium and Large)
For the men:
Pants (waist 36/40) or XL shirts and sweatpants
Pants (waist 46 Tall) or XL shirts and sweatshirt
Household and personal care items:
Paper plates
Plastic cups
Plastic forks, spoons, and knives
Lotion
Donations can be dropped off directly at the Quality Inn in Sanford, or arrangements can be made for pickup through the family’s daughter.
