
Explosive Device Threat Prompts Mill Evacuation in Rollinsford

ROLLINSFORD, N.H. — On August 7, 2025, at 3:59 p.m., Strafford County Dispatch received an anonymous phone call reporting that explosive devices were set up around the Cutter Family Properties Upper Mill located at 1 Front Street in Rollinsford.
Rollinsford Police responded with assistance from Rollinsford Fire, South Berwick Police and Fire, NH State Police, and Newington Police. Both the upper and lower mills were evacuated. Explosive detection K-9 units were used to sweep the area. Nothing of concern was found.
According to a statement from Chief Jonathan Uraskevich, the incident remains under active investigation. Authorities do not believe there is any credible threat at this time.
The department thanked downtown residents and mill tenants for their cooperation, and issued special thanks to all responding agencies, including Strafford County Dispatch.
