Fire Marshal: Electrical Cause Confirmed in Boothbay Harbor House Fire

Maine fire investigators say an early-morning blaze at a Western Avenue residence in Boothbay Harbor was electrical in nature, drawing multiple mutual-aid departments and resulting in no injuries.

According to the release, investigators from the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to a structure fire at 79 Western Avenue reported to 911 shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fire crews from Boothbay Harbor, Southport, Boothbay, and Edgecomb quickly responded and brought the fire under control. Officials determined the fire originated on the back side of the residence. No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.
