Garden Tractor Fire Spreads to Shed and Fence in York; No Injuries

YORK, Maine — York Beach and York Village Fire Departments responded to 23 Shore Road at 3:12 p.m. for a reported garden tractor fire.

Initial-arriving companies found the fire had spread to a vinyl shed, vinyl fence, and part of the structure. A first alarm was transmitted, bringing mutual-aid support from surrounding communities.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, resulting in minimal damage to the residence. No injuries were reported.

York Beach Fire/Rescue expressed appreciation for assistance and town coverage provided by Kittery Fire Department, Ogunquit Fire Department, Eliot Fire Department, South Berwick Fire Department, York Ambulance, and York (Maine) Fire Department.
