The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested a 21-year-old Lewiston woman following a months-long trafficking investigation that led to a search of her Granite Street residence and the seizure of multiple drugs and firearms.

According to the release, Samantha Ogwudiegwu, 21, of Lewiston, was arrested at her place of employment on Howe Street on four counts of Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W drugs. Bail was set at $12,500, and she is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail pending an initial appearance. Investigators with the Western District Task Force reported undercover purchases of fentanyl from Ogwudiegwu during the probe.

Agents executed a search warrant Tuesday, September 30, at Ogwudiegwu’s Granite Street residence with assistance from the Lewiston Police Department. Seized items included 167 grams of cocaine, 7.9 grams of fentanyl, 1,100 30mg oxycodone pills, 60 Xanax pills, 30 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, two handguns, and an AR-15 pistol. Additional charges may be brought in Androscoggin County Unified Court. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The agency encourages anyone with information about illegal drug sales to contact MDEA or use TIP411, and notes 211 is available for substance use resources.
