MANCHESTER, N.H. — A Manchester doctor has been arrested in connection with the reported sexual assault of a patient in his care, according to Manchester Police.
Dr. David Vargas Lowy, identified as a pediatric neurologist in Manchester, was arrested on December 17, 2025, following what police described as a months-long investigation. Police said the investigation began after Manchester Police received a report in September alleging that Vargas Lowy sexually assaulted a female juvenile during an office visit.
Manchester Police stated the Juvenile Unit immediately began investigating the complaint. Through that investigation, police said they also determined that Vargas Lowy changed medical records pertaining to the victim.
This week, police said a warrant was issued for Vargas Lowy’s arrest. He was charged with Felonious Sexual Assault and Falsifying Physical Evidence. Police said Vargas Lowy is being held at the Valley Street Jail pending arraignment.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to the case, or regarding Dr. Vargas Lowy, is asked to contact Manchester Police Detective Adrianne Davenport at 603-792-5549.
