MDEA: Three Drug-Related Arrests in New Gloucester and Lewiston

PORTLAND, Maine — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) reports three arrests on Wednesday in connection with a month-long narcotics investigation that involved coordinated operations in New Gloucester and Lewiston.
According to the agency, at approximately 7:00 a.m. on October 22, 2025, MDEA agents executed a search warrant at 1351 Lewiston Road in New Gloucester with assistance from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit (ESU) and the South Portland Police Department’s Southern Maine Regional SWAT Team (SMSWAT). Agents arrested Siyad Abdi, 45, of New Gloucester, and charged him with Trafficking and Unlawful Possession. The agency states Abdi also had three outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, and bail was set at $15,000.
Later the same day, at approximately 4:00 p.m., agents made two additional arrests at 88 Bartlett Street in Lewiston. Abdurahim Ibrahim, 41, of New Gloucester, was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from the ongoing investigation. The charges listed by MDEA are three counts of Unlawful Trafficking, one count of Felony Possession, and Violation of Condition of Release. Ibrahim was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail and is being held without bail. Also taken into custody at the Bartlett Street location was Kayla Labonte, 37, of New Gloucester, who was arrested for Trafficking and Unlawful Possession. Bail for Labonte was set at $10,000, according to the agency.
