MDEA: Two Arrested in Bangor; Kilo of Cocaine and Suspected Fentanyl Seized

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) reports two arrests and the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, cocaine base, two handguns, and over $36,000 following a months-long drug trafficking investigation centered on an apartment at 94 Sidney Street in Bangor.

Agents assigned to MDEA’s North Central District Task Force executed a search warrant on Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2025, after several months of investigation that included undercover purchases of fentanyl. William Sanchez, 39, of Waterbury, Connecticut, was arrested prior to the search. Eileen Chase, 45, of Bangor, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, September 10, 2025.

As a result of the search, agents located and seized a kilo of cocaine, a kilo of suspected fentanyl, 284ggw cocaine base (crack), two handguns, and over $36,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

Charges and bail:

  • William Sanchez — Class A Aggravated Trafficking Cocaine HCl, Cocaine Base, and Fentanyl. Bail set at $150,000 cash.

  • Eileen Chase — Class A Aggravated Trafficking Fentanyl. Bail set at $100,000 cash.

More arrests and charges are expected. Booking photos are available from the Penobscot County Jail.

Assisting agencies: Bangor Police, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Department of Homeland Security, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
