MEDDYBEMPS, Maine — The Office of State Fire Marshal has identified the man found deceased after a house fire at 624 Main Street in Meddybemps. The Medical Examiner positively identified the victim as the homeowner, Vincent Dineen (DOB 8/22/1939). Investigators said the cause of the fire is undetermined due to the extent of the damage.

According to the prior release, the State Fire Marshal’s Office was requested at approximately 5:58 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, for a report of a possible fatal fire at the address. The local fire chief reported a strong possibility the homeowner was still inside.
