
Motorcycle Hit-and-Run Leads to Arrest in Moultonborough

MOULTONBOROUGH, NH — On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at approximately 4:05 p.m., the Moultonborough Police Department responded to a reported hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on Moultonboro Neck Road near Lower Meadow Road.
While responding, officers received a description of the suspected vehicle, which was last seen traveling southbound on Moultonboro Neck Road. Lieutenant Cavic and MPO/SRO Cloutier proceeded to the crash scene, while other officers searched the area for the vehicle.
At 4:17 p.m., Chief Beede located the suspect vehicle near Harbourside. Two minutes later, the vehicle was stopped on Long Island Road by Trexler’s Marina.
Following an investigation, police arrested the driver, Robert Lloyd Horne, Jr., 18, of Rochester, NH. He was charged with Reckless Conduct – Deadly Weapon, Conduct After Accident, and Reckless Operation. Horne was taken to the Moultonborough Police Department for booking and later transported to the Carroll County Jail for bail processing.
The motorcycle operator sustained injuries but declined medical transport.
