MSP Investigating Corinth Homicide; One Victim Critical, Deceased Identified

Maine State Police are investigating a homicide in Corinth after Troopers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots on Main Street; one man was flown to a hospital in critical condition and a second man was found deceased and later identified.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 21, 2025, Troopers from the Northern Field Troop responded to the area of 272 Main Street. A wounded adult male was located outside the residence. Troopers provided life-saving measures, and the individual was transported by LifeFlight to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Troopers made entry into a nearby apartment believed to be connected to the incident and discovered a deceased male. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta conducted an autopsy on Monday, September 22, 2025, and identified the deceased as 46-year-old Scott Roberts of Glenburn. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
No arrests have been made. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public. The investigation remains active.
