One person deceased after Boscawen house fire; investigation underway

BOSCAWEN, N.H. — New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Boscawen Fire Chief Timothy Kenney, and Boscawen Police Chief Jason Killary report that one person is deceased and a joint investigation is underway following a fire at a home on Gage Street.
At 9:41 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, Boscawen firefighters were dispatched to 14 Gage Street for a reported fire. Initial arriving personnel searched the residence and located an adult male in a second-floor bedroom. The individual was removed through a window, and lifesaving efforts were initiated but were unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Boscawen Fire Department received aid from multiple surrounding communities to knock down the fire. Investigators from the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office responded and are leading the origin-and-cause investigation, with assistance at the scene from Boscawen fire, police, and public works personnel.
