Pedestrian Killed in Motor Vehicle Crash on South Willow Street in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A Manchester woman has died following a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash Monday evening on South Willow Street, according to the Manchester Police Department.


At approximately 5:37 p.m. on December 22, 2025, Manchester Police responded to the area of 1741 South Willow Street for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian. Officers arriving on scene located a Mazda CX-9 that had been involved in the collision.


Police said the vehicle was operated by a 52-year-old female from Nashua. The driver did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash.


The pedestrian was identified as a 65-year-old female from Manchester. She sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.


Investigators determined that the vehicle was traveling northbound on South Willow Street, just north of Huse Road, when the crash occurred. No additional details regarding the moments leading up to the collision have been released at this time.


The Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit is actively investigating the cause and contributing factors of the crash. Officials have not indicated whether speed, impairment, roadway conditions, or other factors played a role. No charges have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.


Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist investigators to contact the Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit at 603-668-8711. Information can be critical in helping investigators determine exactly how the crash occurred.


South Willow Street is a heavily traveled corridor, particularly during the evening hours, and Manchester Police routinely remind both motorists and pedestrians to remain alert and cautious in high-traffic areas.
