Pedestrian Struck on High Street in Somersworth

SOMERSWORTH, N.H. — A pedestrian was found injured in the roadway on High Street near the intersection of Beacon Street on December 7, 2025, and was transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
According to the Somersworth Police Department, police, fire, and Stewart’s ambulance service were dispatched at approximately 7:20 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian laying in the roadway. Responding officers located a 64-year-old male who was semi-conscious and breathing with what were believed to be serious injuries. The individual was transported quickly to Wentworth Douglass Hospital for care.
Several witnesses stopped to assist the injured man, though none reported seeing the incident occur. Police stated the man was located in the vicinity of a crosswalk.
