January 15, 2026 — by Scanner Alerts Media

WISCASSET, Maine — Three 18-year-old males were arrested following an investigation into a report of a residence being shot at on Old Sheepscot Road, according to the Wiscasset Police Department.

Police said officers responded just after 5:30 p.m. on January 13, 2026, after receiving a report that a home had been shot. Investigators determined that three shots were fired at the residence. At the time, the home was occupied by an adult male and his juvenile son.

According to the department, one round struck the front door, shattering the outer storm door glass, penetrating the metal door, and entering the living room area less than ten feet from where the two occupants were sitting. Police reported no injuries.

Wiscasset Police said they were assisted at the scene by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Unit.

Police said a significant development occurred later that evening when the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to an unrelated incident in Whitefield. Deputies responding to that incident uncovered evidence that potentially linked the Wiscasset shooting to a similar incident in Alna, according to the release.

The investigation continued on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and resulted in the arrest of Jacob McInnis Jr., 18, of Whitefield; Camden Larrabee, 18, of Sabattus; and Caleb Busby, 18, of Bremen. Police said all three were charged with Aggravated Criminal Mischief and Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, both Class C felony offenses.

The department said the three are being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

Wiscasset Police said they were assisted in the investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, Damariscotta Police Department, Sabattus Police Department, and the Augusta Police Department.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Officer Jonathan Barnes at jbarnes@wiscasset.org, Officer Nathan Willhoite at nwillhoite@wiscasset.org, or call the Wiscasset Police Department at 207-882-8203.
