Three Arrested Following Drive-By Shooting at Jaffrey Apartment Building

Three men have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that struck a multi-family apartment building on Cross Street in Jaffrey, according to the Jaffrey Police Department.

Police said that on December 17, 2025, at 5:53 p.m. (1753 hours), Jaffrey officers were dispatched to the area of Cross Street and Nutting Road after receiving several reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers determined that multiple shots had been fired from a moving vehicle as it passed 3 Cross Street, which police described as a multi-family apartment building.

Investigators said several rounds struck the building, and some penetrated into one of the occupied apartments. Police reported there were no injuries.

Following the shooting, Cross Street was closed for approximately two hours while officers checked the welfare of local residents, collected evidence, and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.

In an update, Jaffrey Police said that since the December 17 incident, the department has worked to identify and apprehend the suspects involved. Police said investigative efforts led to the identification of the suspect vehicle and all suspects, and that arrest and search warrants were obtained.

Police reported that all three suspects were arrested separately and without incident in connection with charges of attempted murder and conspiracy. The suspects are:

• Shayne Jennings, 38, of New Ipswich, New Hampshire

• John Pereira, 21, of Exeter, New Hampshire

• Nathan Pereira, 19, of Rindge, New Hampshire

Jaffrey Police said all three suspects are currently being held in custody at the Cheshire County House of Corrections.

The Jaffrey Police Department credited the New Ipswich Police Department, the Exeter Police Department, and the New Hampshire State Police for assistance in apprehending the suspects.
