Three-Vehicle Crash on I-295 Near Exit 10 Backs Up Traffic for Over an Hour

A three-vehicle crash near Exit 10 in Falmouth around 4:30 p.m. slowed I-295 to a crawl for more than an hour after a Subaru struck stopped traffic and caught fire; no injuries were reported.


According to the release, a Subaru operated by Emily Paskewicz of Southport failed to see heavy traffic ahead and struck an Audi sedan driven by Daniel Antolovich of Storrs, Connecticut, pushing the Audi into a pickup truck driven by Chad Greelee of Richmond. The Subaru became disabled in the passing lane and caught fire; all occupants exited without injury. Falmouth Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire. Troopers, fire, and towing crews cleared the roadway, and traffic was restored after significant delays.
