Two Arrested in South Portland Redbank Village Shooting Investigation

South Portland detectives arrested a second suspect following a coordinated warrant operation in Gorham, advancing the investigation into shots fired from a vehicle in Redbank Village; no injuries were reported in the incidents.
Today, South Portland Detectives—assisted by the Gorham Police Department, Scarborough Police Department, Southern Maine Regional SWAT Team, and the Cumberland County ESU—executed a high-risk search and arrest warrant at 20 Preble Street in Gorham. Police located Adam Figueroa-Gomez, 19, of Gorham, inside the residence and arrested him without incident. Out of an abundance of caution, Gorham Police issued a “Code Red” warning to residents within a half-mile radius and notified area schools; Village Elementary School, Gorham Middle School, and Gorham High School went into “Secure” status during the operation.
On September 23, 2025, at approximately 10:50 p.m., multiple 9-1-1 calls reported shots fired into a crowd from a vehicle near the Redbank Community Center parking lot on MacArthur Circle West; evidence recovered at the scene confirmed gunfire, and no one was found to be harmed. A separate report of shots fired occurred on September 20, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m., in the area of Westbrook Street and Devereaux Circle; no victims were located and none made themselves known at the time.
Detectives identified a suspect vehicle and two suspects in the September 23 incident. On September 24, 2025, the vehicle was located in Kennebunk and Zane Ibrahim, 18, of Kennebunk, was taken into custody. On October 1, 2025, a search warrant was issued for 20 Preble Street in Gorham, leading to today’s arrest of Figueroa-Gomez.
Charges are as follows:
Zane Ibrahim, 18, of Kennebunk: Criminal Threatening (Class C felony); Reckless Conduct (Class C felony); Terrorizing (Class E misdemeanor).
Adam Figueroa-Gomez, 19, of Gorham: Criminal Threatening (Class C felony); Reckless Conduct (Class C felony); Terrorizing (Class E misdemeanor); Violation of Conditions of Release (Class E misdemeanor).
