UPDATE: Care Pharmacy roof fire — investigation continues

This update adds new information provided by Capt. Todd Pinkham regarding the incident previously reported at the former Care Pharmacy in Rochester.

Capt. Pinkham stated:

“We responded to Care Pharmacy for a fireworks complaint. Police discovered a ladder on the side of the building, leading to the roof, and noticed there was a small fire and packages of fireworks on the roof of the building. Officers utilized fire extinguishers and called the Fire Dept to assist with extinguishing the small fire and to ensure it did not spread further than the small contained area Police discovered. The incident remains an active investigation at this time.”

Fire personnel confirmed the fire had been contained to the small area described by officers. No additional details have been released. The investigation remains active.
