Chief Deputy Jeremy Forbes of the York County Sheriff’s Office took part in Thornton Academy’s annual Football “Lock-Up” fundraiser, where players were briefly “arrested” for on-field infractions and challenged to raise “bail” from family and friends.

According to the announcement, the mock arrests cited penalties such as offsides, blocks in the back, and holding. All players secured “bail” and were released. Organizers also highlighted the reminder that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law—or in film session on Monday.
