Head-On Crash on Pigeon Hill Road Injures One; Roadway Temporarily Closed

MECHANIC FALLS, Maine — At approximately 11:01 p.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Pigeon Hill Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash, according to the Mechanic Falls Police Department.
Responding agencies included the Mechanic Falls Police Department, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, Mechanic Falls Fire Department, Poland Fire Department, and United Ambulance Service.
A preliminary investigation indicates a white 2018 Ford Explorer, owned and operated by Hailey Hockman, 28, of Norway, was traveling toward Poland when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a tan 2019 Dodge pickup traveling in the opposite direction.
Hockman was transported by United Ambulance Service to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation of injuries sustained in the crash. The occupants of the Dodge were evaluated and treated on scene.
The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency personnel cleared the scene and conducted the initial investigation. The Mechanic Falls Police Department reports the investigation remains ongoing. No further information is being released at this time.
