Overnight Fire Heavily Damages Three-Story Home; No Injuries Reported

Just after 1:00 a.m., KPFD was dispatched for a working structure fire. On arrival, crews found a three-story home with the top two floors fully involved. Homeowners advised firefighters that no one was inside the residence.

Given the heavy fire conditions, incident commanders directed a defensive operation. Companies surrounded the building and focused on exterior suppression to knock down fire throughout the upper floors and protect the remainder of the structure.

Water supply was supported by tank trucks shuttling additional water to the scene. Mutual aid partners responded to provide extra personnel and apparatus in support of the operation.

After

a few hours, the fire was brought under control and subsequently extinguished. Crews have since cleared the scene.

No injuries to firefighters or residents were reported.
